The Birth of Venture OffRoad —Why We Started This

We’re not here to give you some polished sales pitch. If you’re reading this, you probably love 4WDs as much as we do.

Venture Offroad wasn’t started in a boardroom. It wasn’t some grand business plan. It came from years of getting our hands dirty, building rigs, fixing mistakes (ours and other people’s), and seeing firsthand what works and what doesn’t when it comes to off-road upgrades.

Between the two of us—Marty and Adam—we’ve spent over 25 years working in the automotive industry. We’ve been behind the tools, in front of customers, on the trails, and under busted rigs on the side of tracks. We’ve seen how much misinformation and overpriced junk gets thrown at 4WD owners, and we wanted to do something different.

So we backed ourselves, set up our own shop, and built something we’re proud of.

Our goal is simple: build proper 4WDs with gear that actually works. Whether you’re setting up for weekend camping trips, serious touring, or just want your ute to handle better on the job site, we’ll help you get there.

We don’t do cookie-cutter builds or sell you parts you don’t need. We’ll talk through what you actually want out of your 4WD and help you make the right calls—whether that’s a full setup or just a small upgrade to get you started.

Why "Gettin’ You Out There" Means More Than Just a Tagline

When we first tossed around the phrase "Gettin’ you out there," it was just a bit of a lighthearted joke.

But the more we thought about it, the more it stuck. Because that’s exactly what we’re here to do—get you out there. Out on the tracks, out on the road, out exploring, working, adventuring—wherever your version of “out there” is.

It’s not just about bolting on parts. It’s about making sure your rig is ready for whatever you throw at it, so you’re not the one stuck on the side of a track with a busted setup or regretting the cheap gear you bought online.

So yeah, it started as a joke—but now it’s what we live by. We’re doing this because we love 4WDs. We love the gear, the builds, the stories that come from good (and bad) trips. This isn’t just a job for us—it’s what we’d be doing anyway.
